Who we are

Crawford Anderson is the founder of AWM Financial, a personal finance education brand built to help students and young professionals gain financial clarity. Currently a finance major at UNC Charlotte, Crawford combines formal education with years of hands-on experience managing his own investment portfolios, building disciplined saving systems, and studying financial strategy.

Crawford started AWM Financial with a simple goal: make money make sense. After realizing how many essential financial skills, such as budgeting, saving, early investing, credit strategy, and long-term planning, are barely taught in school, he set out to create a resource for the next generation.

Through writing, one-on-one guidance, and accessible financial tools, Crawford helps young adults build confidence with money and take control of their financial futures. His approach blends discipline with simplicity, long-term thinking with real-world application, and professional financial concepts with a tone that’s clear, relatable, and honest.

Outside of AWM Financial, Crawford is involved in campus life at UNC Charlotte, serves as a columnist for The Niner Times, and stays active in his church community. He spends time with friends, enjoys solid workouts at the gym, and carves out more than fifteen hours a week for reading.
